EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

I am a certified educator with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) granted by the Berlin Senate, affirming my ability to teach in diverse educational settings. My teaching philosophy emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and holistic development, inspired by my experience with Waldorf and ORFF pedagogies.

These approaches have allowed me to integrate music education into broader developmental goals, fostering students’ cognitive, emotional, and social growth. Additionally, I developed the innovative IMPACT Ensemble Pedagogy, a transformative program that blends ensemble-based learning with theoretical and cultural studies, inspiring teamwork and individual creativity.

My dedication to high-quality teaching is reflected in the dynamic and inclusive music programs I have led, tailoring instruction to meet the needs of diverse student populations.

My foundation in music is built on a combination of rigorous formal education and extensive practical experience. I received intensive training in piano and organ performance at the prestigious University of Mozarteum Salzburg, earning a qualification equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree. This classical education laid a strong technical and theoretical foundation, which I have complemented by developing proficiency in teaching and playing a variety of instruments, including guitar, bass, drums, woodwind, and brass. This breadth of expertise enables me to lead diverse ensembles and deliver comprehensive instruction tailored to students’ unique abilities and interests.

Beyond formal training, my career has been enriched by significant performing experience as a keyboardist, musical director, and conductor. I have led ensembles, managed productions, and performed in a range of professional contexts, bringing a practical understanding of performance dynamics into my teaching.

This blend of academic training and real-world experience equips me to inspire students across a wide spectrum of musical disciplines, from theory and composition to ensemble performance. My dedication to music education has also been recognized through honorary titles, including Professor h.c. of Ministry and Doctor h.c. of Ministry, underscoring my contributions to the field of music and my commitment to fostering talent and creativity.
