2024 — COBIS Programme for Middle Leaders

In 2024, I completed the COBIS Programme for Middle Leaders (CPML) in Riyadh. This one-year programme combined facilitated workshops, self-directed learning, and five days of face-to-face training. Alongside eight core modules, I designed, implemented, and evaluated a Leadership Challenge project within my school context. The CPML not only strengthened my leadership skills but also expanded my professional network through collaboration with fellow COBIS colleagues.

While teaching at Albert Gutzmann Schule in Berlin, I attended the Trainingsraum-Programm offered by the Berlin Senate. The program, based on Edward Ford’s Responsible Thinking Process, focused on classroom management, student self-reflection, and fostering accountability. Through workshops and practical application, I learned strategies to guide students in developing responsibility for their own actions, de-escalating conflict, and maintaining a respectful learning environment.

In 2016, I took part in the Knowledge XP programme in Mumbai. The course focused on skill development, creativity, and musical pedagogy in an international arts environment. It offered a blend of hands-on workshops and collaborative projects, helping me expand my musical perspective and connect with peers in India’s vibrant music community.

In 2019, I completed the Safeguarding Young People course offered by EduCare (part of TES). This training focused on recognizing risks, understanding safeguarding responsibilities, and ensuring that young people are supported in safe learning environments. It enhanced my ability to create secure, student-centered settings in both schools and extracurricular contexts.

I completed accreditation team training in Shanghai with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), the National Centre for Curriculum and Textbooks (NCCT), and the Commission on American and International Schools Abroad (CAISA). This program prepared me to contribute as an accreditation team member, evaluating schools against international standards, reviewing self-studies, conducting interviews, and supporting formal accreditation reports. The training strengthened my expertise in school improvement, curriculum evaluation, and international quality assurance, enhancing my ability to contribute to the development of high-quality educational environments worldwide.
